New Radio install / Labeled amp diagram
I just installed a JVC AVX 77. It works great! It's got ipod control/bluetooth/backup camera. While researching for the install I couldn't find any labeled amplifier diagrams. I've got the info, but first this is what I did:
I used the front preouts (5V) for the front speakers and the subout for the back speakers. To do this I soldered RCA connectors on the amp side and ran a 3 wire RCA cable to the amp. I used the Sochie harness for everything else.
To determine which amp wires ran to which speakers I just cut the pair of wires and listened to which speaker failed (they were already twisted in pairs). My new radio only has one sub output so I soldered both rear inputs to one RCA connector. Here is the labeled diagram:

Hope this helps anyone who wants to do the same thing.
I have 2 questions for anybody who can help:
1. How did you guys install the aftermarket sleeve? The entire radio hole is plastic so I can't bend down the tabs. Do I need to screw it down or something. Right now the radio and sleeve are just kinda sitting there. I need to do something soon to make it just a little harder to steal
2. Anybody else have a bluetooth in a roadster? I can hear people just fine. But when I am driving fast, people say I sound garbled. I think the mic might be picking up road noise at the seam of the windshield/cloth top since it's mounted to the visor. Anyone have a suggestion on another place to mount the mic?
Thanks!
