After talking to the installer at Circuit City, I swapped the mobile unit for an in-dash Alpine AM/FM/CD/SIRIUS unit. The antenna is mounted on the dashboard and so far it's been just fine. The Alpine is far superior to the Infiniti as a receiver and all I given up is the ability to take the satellite radio indoors. But I figure if I really like it that much I'll just get one for indoors. The antenna isn't that obtrusive looking on the dash and I've had no problem with frequency interference.
