Its just a butterfly valve that connects the intake and output side of the supercharger that is controlled by a sprung vacuum diaphram. Changing the spring regulates at what vacuum level the valve closes. I used the diaphram from the tbird the sc came off of. There are aftermarket bypass valves out there though.

What kind of bypass valve are you talking about in number 2? I would think it would be tough to get a blower not to make boost below 15 degrees on the pedal.
