That is correct, they even had to take the Bugatti to a huge 15mile oval to get it up to those speeds...I can't remember which track it was, but indeed I do not believe even the Koenigsegg CCXR can hit over 250mph let alone 273mph...but then again, I'm sure somewhere, someone is doing some modifications to it

In Illinois legislation just went into effect that it is a $300 ticket for 1mph over in a construction zone and a second offense in a year is $1000 and 90day suspension of liscence.

You just have to know what procedures need to be done before, during, and after the shift to ensure proper calibration...without documentation of those procedures there is overwhelming evidence against the ticket for margin of error.
