Windows Falling Out
Good Day to all on the forum. I just joined last night having discovered it yesterday.
Normally I wouldn't post a thread like this but I think we have a solution to real problem many of you are having
I am CEO of a company called GAHH Automotive and we manufacture convertible tops. Several weeks ago we became aware of the considerable problems X-Fire owners are having with their tops and the fact there are no replacement tops available. We went to work on the problem and discovered that there were 2 major issues in building an aftermarket top:
1) The X-Fire top has multiple plastic extrusions that would require >$25K in tooling to make
2) There is no aftermarket glass windows available
Not to be deterred we now have patterned and fitted an X-Fire replacement top. (see attached pictures). We are using a Nissan 350Z window glass that is about 2" smaller in height than the original and has a slightly differant shape. Also we require the old top be sent to our factory so we can re-use the original plactic extrusions.
Unlike the factory, our tops use a propriatry bonding process called UltraMaxx to hold the window into the top. This bond is so we good we warrranty it for as long as you own the vehicle.
The good news is that we can do a turnaround in as little as 1 week. The tops are made using the ORIGNAL German A5 canvas which we import directly from Germany. MSRP is $1,499.00
Just go to your local trim shop and ask them to contact GAHH Automotive for details.
