Default Problems with BassLink Subwoofer (Anyone have similar problems?)

Any BassLink owers out there that have had this problem? If so what did you do? (I am thinking the unit is history but thought I'd ask)

I noticed when I moved my Infinity BassLink subwoofer from my other car to the Crossfire that it didn't come on right away - took maybe a second or three. I didn't think anything of it because it had behaved that way in the other car. But a few days ago that changed a lot. It started taking 15 minutes to cut in. Then after a couple days, it would only come on in the evening when I left work and the car was really hot inside. Otherwise it remains silent. (All the right wires and switches are set properly so it's not that)

I swapped it back to the other car and put the BassLink that was in that car into the Crossfire. The problem stayed with the BassLink, and the one I put in the Crossfire comes on right away.

I'm thinking there's a thermal short somewhere. The BassLink as it's own amp inside so I am wondering if there's the problem.

Anyone every have a problem like this with a BassLink?
