The 2004 Shop Manual describes the adjustment and should solve your problems.

The dealer who says that they are all like that is lying, they are good at that as it is a prerequisite to get the job and then they get more practice. Remember a few dollars more profit is more important than good customer relations at most stealerships, sad but true.
How do you get a job at a stealership? You lie on your resume.
