I know of people using Mobil 1 for diesel's for it's superior lubrication. Seems for "green" reasons the formulation for cars was changed a couple of years ago. If I could find it easily I would use it too. But in reality, I've only had 1 car that I wanted to last forever and when it was totaled by a 16 year old putting on makeup, changing the radio station and running a red light all at once, it was ready for a ring job at 150,000 miles with dyno oil. Most cars die from causes other than lesser quality oil.
