My roadster is quiet as a Cadillac up to 120. I run Bridgestone RE760's (a rounder tread profile) and neither hear nor feel the road. Even for a rag-top, wind noise is contained.

A lot of the square tread profile tires can be noisy, but from what you describe, something is wrong. A bad CV joint is a good guess.
