Thank you Crossfire Forum family!!!
Wow, another LX & Beyond Nationals has come and gone!
First, I would like to thank each and every one of you that was able to attend the event this year and make it even better than last year. Without all of you there is no event. Let me say that again, “without ALL of YOU there is no event.” Thank you for your support, thank you for your kind words, thank you for attending and for all of the great memories.
Next, I would like to thank all of the 2009 LX & Beyond Sponsors. Hands-down this is the best group of people that I have had the pleasure of working with “A thru Z”. I only wanted the best this year and extremely grateful I got to work with the best. If you guys only knew the lengths each one of these companies and individuals went thru to support this event (only in its 2nd year) you would be amazed. Without them none of the great prizes, t-shirts, hats or giveaways would have been possible. Please let them know that we appreciate them supporting our hobby and hope they will be willing and able to continue doing it in the future. Whether or not you won an event prize or door prize, please take a moment to send them a quick email, start a thread, send them a PM or send them a message on their websites to thank them for supporting the event and our Modern Mopar community.
Also, thank you to Erich and all of the SRT Engineers for coming out on their own time to hang out and talk with all of us as well as bringing out some very cool rides. Anybody that did not attend this year definitely missed out on a great opportunity to meet some very interesting people. Those SRT guys really know how to make an exit!!!
Last but not least, I would like to personally thank all of the countless individuals that offered help and helped me make this event happen for everybody this weekend. I don’t want to name each person by name because I don’t want to do them an injustice by forgetting a name (there are so many). Just know that there are some truly amazing people in our community and the words “thank you” don’t capture how grateful I am to each and everyone one of them for what they did. Thank you.
There is an issue that I did not address prior to the event because I have always felt that the LX & Beyond Nationals is not about one or two individuals it’s about the entire Modern Mopar community. Day one, when this began in that parking lot three years ago at Quaker Steak & Lube in Columbus, Ohio it always has been about the community and as long as I am blessed to be here it will always be about the community. There was a vendor that I spoke to at the end of the day on Sunday that I want to thank for the feedback and the support (he knows who he is) and his words convinced me that it was necessary to say something.
Not many people knew it but the 2009 LX & Beyond Nationals was organized and run entirely by me. I did have a few volunteers help this weekend but other than that there was No crew and No staff. I know that everything was not perfect which gives some opportunity to improve things for next year but hope everyone had a great time.
I look forward to seeing everyone again for the 2010 LX & Beyond Nationals.
July 17-18, 2010 (save the date)
Sincerely.
