I got quoted 800 bucks by a garage for the part alone (steering damper). This after they misdiagnosed my front bearings as needing replacement (two other places have said no way and they're perfect). 600 for each other those.

So one place almost got me for 2 grand that now looks like 60 bucks thanks to this forum and ebay.
