Re: Does Anyone Drive In The Winter?
Pittsburgh, PA.
Purchased "Rolf" in December, drove him home 75 miles from Canton, Oh, in a snow and ice storm. Had Conti's on at the time. He's a 6 speed, so I worked the gears smart and got up the hills and around the curves where I saw plenty of "hotdogs" in 4x4's spun out and in the ditch! Enjoyed the sight of that!! Being a good driver helps, being a smart driver helps more.
All season tires are a compromise and will put you in a ditch in the winter. The Mercedes 17" rims with the Blizack tires are a required investment if you drive in the winter. I found mine on Craig's List for a good price. As is 100# of sand in the trunk.
Enjoy driving your Crossfire! Locking it up for the winter would make me sad!
