Xed,
I can appreciate were your coming from. I never said that if you put on an intake it will let you run down ZO6's. That would be really cool, but ain't going to happen. I'm working really hard with trying to get a Run on a Dyno. I've been putting money away, so that I can take it over and have it done, along with mapping out my ECU. Its 1500.00 for 2.5 hr, with specialists, and a real Dyno. This is the Dyno that bolt on to my Axel, and doesn't just spin the wheel. Its the most accurate dyno made. Also I'm getting a deal on the 1500.00, they normal charge 3500.00 for 2 hrs. A friend is hooking me up, usually only race teams get to meet with these guys from Saleen. I thought that was pretty cool of my buddy Buck to do that for me.
As far as the pricing goes, I'm not trying to gauge anyone. The sytem is not at all cheap to make. Also if you look at it, my dual system, is like going out and buying two K&N Typhoon II intakes. However mine is less then that. I was at pepboys, and they had 6 different typhoon systems, and the cheapest one they had was 259.99. Now you want a dual system, ok 259.00 X's 2 is 518.00 w/out tax. Pluse you would need a "Y",Or "T" connector, that is able to accept a air sensor in it. The "Y" connector that I put together , just by it's self is worth over 100.00. I couldn't buy one that was under a hundred bucks, and trust me I looked High and low. I showed the system to a manufacture, who I was interested in to build the system for me. He told me He would charge more, and if I wanted him to build them, I would have to pay 80.00 more then what I'm selling them for. This is not a 2001 chevy Silverado system. This is totally unique and custome for are car's only. I tried to find a system like I had put together, and I still can't find one. You know, if I did I would have bought it myself. I encourage everyone to go shopping around, and see what the intakes cost now days. I think you'll be very supprised at what you find.
