Well, for one thing, since you have a 6spd, part of the prep is to assemble the shift **** onto the shift lever. Some people have had problems in the past with it popping off in their hands while shifting, because it wasn't assembled properly.

Twist it around a little and pull up to see if there is any play in between the **** and lever... If not, you'll be OK.

The rest of the stuff is mostly cosmetic prep. so nothing really mechanical. So, no worries.
