I would go with a 3rd party, shop around, read reviews, etc. I got screwed by this whole chrysler fall out, thus my opinion. But if you have not been impacted by all of this, then I would say the maxcare is the cheapest and most safe/comprehensive plan.

Thats why I have not done any mods to my car, if the dealer wants out of a warranty situation he can look for mods and say that they may or did cause the problem. I might do the same if it was to cost me money or trouble. If a Chrysler rep saw it he would definitely say it caused the problem, and you would be hard pressed to prove it didn't.
