We were at the Gateway Speedway last nite. Guy, his wife and two kids walked by. He mentioned to her how he wished he could afford such a cool car.

So I jumped in, "You can get into one of these for $10 or $11 grand if you shop around." His wife looked in disbelief, he did also. "No Way" he responded.

I explained the MB components and the Chrysler /Diamler divorce and the more I talked the more he salivated. His wife shot daggers out of her eyes. He wanted one.
Bad.

If he just looked in the paper, St Louis dealer has one for $10,900, Inferno red, with a manual tranny, 2004.

They are a bargain. Most people see that and wonder "how good could they be?" "If they are a superb vehicle, why so cheap?" I don't think the gentleman and his wife believed me either. Still, he was salivating all over my car.

Critics in the press have their bias's but sell their work by claiming to "look out" for the consumer. But car mags sell car ads. So it is a fine line between blasting a vehicle and p!ssing off an advertiser.

This car is a safe one to trash. So they do.

And we, in the know, get to keep the secret
