Has anyone tried the SL55 Y pipe and opened up the intake on the stock intake at the grill? It looks like it gets very choked where it passes through on the side of the radiator then opens up to go to the stock air cleaners. I realize this isn't as good as the new 3" pipes, but I would think it would increase the airflow for very few $, and maintain the stock appearance.
i tried both ways. the inlet at the airbox on the 32 is very restricted. with the sl55 boxes its better but i still want the factory look, and the sl55 centerpiece just wont work.
