It does not seem the the first half of the video is even of the 16.4, but rather some other 12-cylinder block. The actual 16-cylinder block finally appears about 7:30 into the presentation. I spent some time as a lad working in an engine/transmission foundry, and this is for sure quite a different process than the old iron castings.
Wonder how much aluminum, in percent of volume, is removed from the original billet to produce this work of art?
