I respect the idea you want to keep the car as nice as possible and the bugs are a pain in the a$$. Keep in mind that you need as much flow through the radiator as possible for the radiator to be as effective as it needs to be. If you never romp on the gas and usually run it very easy, there may not be much of a difference on the guage but there may be instances that the radiator will need to recover (for a lack of better words) and it will take longer to bring the temps down. This is especially true if the screen has a bunch of bugs on it already. On a N/A, it may be less critical than an SRT but usually when people look at upgrades and/or performance enhancements/efficiencies, you will want to make sure you have all the cooling power available which helps your engine, the life of the oil and your A/C run more efficient. Even if you don't run it harder at times and don't try to squeeze more power out of it, if it were me, I still would not want to restrict any of the air available.
This is only my opinion so please don't take it that I am telling you what you should or should not do. If we were not creative with our cars, we would not have many of the go fast goodies we have today as many derived form the people on this forum.

What you gain in protecting the radiator, you lose in forcing it to work harder. Your temp needle may not budge, but I can promise you that the T-stat is having to work harder.
As the others have sai, I can appreciate the innovate mind... I simply think this will cause issues down the road.
