Re: c3 question
I have the last generation aluminum Code 3. It used no shims at all. If I remember correctly the installed clearance on the stock pulley was 45 mm to the clutch. My Code 3 had varying clearance when new. 25 mm at the tightest point and 47 mm at the widest. I was told it would wear itself flat. I measured from the bearing like you but can't remember exactly what I found but it was not even from one side to another. Sorry quality control. But the sucker works flawlessly and I love it. Don't try to make the numbers match. They wont. Put it on, measure the clearance to the clutch for posterity, watch for signs of the belt slipping (mine doesn't) and fry the tires. Since you have shims, I'm pretty sure 20 mm is the recommended clearance between the pulley and clutch in the install instructions from Code 3. You might check the website to be sure.
