thats the issue im having. most that have the c3 use none to 1 or 2 shims. with 5 shims in measuring 1.60 mm thickness the pulley is in full contact with the s/c clutch. no clearance. brandon is sending me some new shims but i seem to need more clearance than any other c3 out there. from oem there is .80 difference from the edge of the bearing
i really dont want a crank pulley. i avoided using c3 for a new pulley due to so many negative posts by members. getting it from a reputable shop used seemed like the best of both worlds. not so sure now. and to top it off my oem shows definate signs of wear from the bearing so putting it back isnt gonna happen.
the c3 instructions also call for .20 to .30 mm clearance i believe most confuse this with 20 to 30 mm major difference
