I took some photos from the National bus, but a I still can't post pictures to the forum you'll have to take my word for it. I never knew that the Roadster was available in Black...I thought that was a coupe and base color only.
I didn't ask what the daily rate was, but my VP says next time to travel we'll check out the Crossfire. At National they are kept in a row on after the Executive line...so I imagine they carry a daily premium.
This is exactly how we became familar with the xFire 3 years ago. We were on vacation in San Fran and had reserved a convertible rental. When we went down to pick up what we thought was going to be a Sebring, they were all out of service and the attendant said all they had left were PT Cruisers. I said no way in hell will I drive one of those, so as someone else pulled away in their PTC we noticed a 05 Graphite Roadster sitting in the back corner that we took as an exchange. What a trill we had that October cruising down the PCH to Big Sur. It was freakn cold but darn it, we had a convertible so we had the heater on full blast, our winter hats on, and seat warmers on.
When in Carmel and Moneray, all the fools with their high dollar exotics were wondering what we had. Priceless moments.
After waiting for some time until the time was right, we now own a brand new 08 Aero Blue. SWEET!
