I didn't have to jack the car up. The only real puzzle was about the valve located under the round pressure meter. It needs to remain closed, which really didn't seem correct, but worked. Couldn't find any reference in the manual about that valve. Only took about 5 minutes to fill up the tire enough to drive on it.
