Good advice, Doc. My DE teacher drummed into us that you:
  1. NEVER go for the ditch to avoid a deer. Deer are softer than trees.
  2. NEVER turn off the key while moving
If you do hit the OFF position, your steering will lock in the last (turning) position.
No power anything.
