Re: Your very first car...driving/owning
My first was a 1947 Plymouth coupe that I bought from my mom for $75.00. I used my paper route money to pay for the car. It had a truck motor that crashed. I put a 55 full house flat head six, Isky roller cam, Fenton aluminum head, Fenton dual headers, Mallory ingintion and could beat most 55-57 Chevyies. I put dual exhaust and one was under the passanger floor board. One night I ran a 56 Ford V-8 and smoked him. Trouble was the muffler got so hot the carpet caught on fire. Ahh, memories.
