"How to - Horn All of the Time"
Me So Horny mod!
Now that I have yer attention!
One of the things I wondered about our cars is why the horn doesn't operate unless the ignition is turned on. Well wonder no more! I have a solution!
This is NOT for the faint of heart as it involves pulling out the relay control module (RCM) and involves cutting circuit board runs and soldering.
If you haven't tucked yer tail 'tween yer legs and left by now, read on.
1. Disconnect the battery
2. Remove the cover that contains the RCM and pull the RCM out.
3. Disconnect all plugs from the RCM.
3. Remove the protective cover from the RCM.
4. Using a razor blade or exacto knife
(I now use a Dremel tool)
, cut the circuit board runs as depicted (exactly!) in the photo below.
5. Solder jumper wires as shown in the photo.
6. Re-connected RCM.
7. Connect battery.
8. Push horn "button" to see if you did it right.
9. Put that $hit back together!
