For me it was a 1957 Plymouth - The one with the monster fins and a push button auto. No big V8 for that unit, just a flat head inline 6 that made me feel like the king of the road.
Bought it for $100 from my uncle in 1963. It was the car that got me the girl that became my wife. Let me have a job out of the city, and gave me the understanding of how to maintain and fix a car.
Not bad at all for $100.
On top of that I was able to sell it for $400 in 1966 to buy my very first brand new car a 1966 Ford Galaxy.
I am so sorry that some how I do not have any photos of it but was able to find these two of the outside [ mine was green] and inside (a 58 that looks the same inside)
