Doc have to disagree with you on the Interstate battery. I got one, was the wrong one (black but had a MTP H6 sticker on it) was assured it was right by the supplier, after back and forth with corporate who said it was the wrong one but then reversed their message saying it was the right one, the local supplier said he had a few different looking ones for that HMPT - H6 number. Two days after I was supplied the white MTP H6 then told he didn't have it in stock the first time around so substituted a different one. Bla Bla Bla...... I said enough of this bull and returned the H6 white one. (we hadn't installed it yet)
I could only image trying to warranty help with them.....oh wait I did a few years ago with another Interstate for the Corvette. After 9 months it developed a "bad cell" was told it was the electrical system causing it. ??? Ended up taking it to Sears for a Die Hard where the shop guys keep saying "lady this is a new battery"
Lesson is Interstate had the chance to gain a customer and blew it yet again.
We bought a battery for the XF from Batteries Plus. It had 780 CCA and cost $80, fit perfectly. It is black but I used felt tip to darken the vent box up. It is a Rayovac.....feel like I got two 9v from the drug store and put them under the hood- ha ha
