I'm not used to posting, so if I get it wrong please bear with me - I'll get it right next time.
With the help of the first two replies I sorted the blockage and pouring water into the skuttle drain, nothing getting inside. The other end of the chanel - drivers end in this case - looks much eaasier to sort, not as deep.
