I rode in my friends maxed out Supra with 455 rwHp It has blistering acceleration once the turbo spools up. He can set the boost pressure to 50#'s (I think). Supra owners like those rolling starts you get in street racing. I offered him a steak dinner if he will race me in the 1/8 mile strip near my house. He most likely will take on the challenge but doesn't seem overly confident. He is doing more modifications that will give him a quick start and make the turbo spin at lower rpms. Amazingly, with all that HP the car still won't spin tires. Its a wild ride. You go from wondering if the car is stalled and needs a push to having your head plastered to your seat. Then when he lets off the gas the waste gate makes an explosion noise and you are left feeling amazed, scared, and puzzled - all at the same time. The entire experience seems unnatural. I have owned three turbo cars and won't own another one because I now know the difference. I think my almost stock SRT-6 will give him a good run in a short sprint from zero.
