I have read many posts here but still have some questions. Is there a battery in the fob? If so hw do you get to it and where can I buy the battery? I will try to program the fob again the way it is talked about on another post (put key in ignition, hit unlock twice, car should start) but can't do it now, I am at work. I just spoke with my Chrysler service advisor and he does not know if there is a battery in the fob and also said I would need to get a new fob from the factory. Also, I have seen posts that state the fob won't work but they open the door with the key - how do you do that? Your comments and suggestions would be appreciated. I really don't want to have to buy another fob - I think they are about $150
There are two batteries. Look at the back of the fob, you should be able to pry off the back cover on the bottom. Make sure the key is out, it'll make it a lot easier.

Batteries MIGHT be dead, not sure. I think they're about 7$ for two..

Try putting the fob in the door handle to see if it'll unlock, and in the ignition to see if it starts. There's a tiny RF transmitter in the key fob and if it's not the right one for your car (possibly someone gave you an extra wrong key by mistake?) it'll NEVER start.
