i dont think they were saying dont take your car to someone because it cant be trusted. i believe they were saying it would be cheaper and by quite a bit, for instance when i first bought the car i changed the oil at a shop and it was $140, after that i learned my lesson and started changing it myself for about 80 bucks. the car takes alot of oil and uses fleece filters.
