Default Re: Replacing front brakes only

Goldwing - I've just replaced my front stock pads on the SRT last week. I've had the Rotex Golds on the '04 for a couple of years now.

The '04 wheels are usually clean as a whistle compared to the SRT's fronts & frankly, I just got sick of the constant dust issues. I couldn't go a day without the infamous black haze appearing. The rear pads on the SRT have been Rotex after replacing them a year ago when I started getting a lot of racket from the rear brakes. Discovered that the rear rotors were shot so I replaced the whole shebang all at once. No problems at all with "mixing" the pads, the rear wheels were just always cleaner.

The only issue I have now on the SRT is an occasional squeak coming from the fronts when braking; a small trade-off for no more dust, IMO!!
