I used to desgn and sell big brake kits to the Mini Cooper crowd. I know what to look for. I only bought the cheap rotors first because I wasn't sure everything would work. After I knew it would work, I went for the disc Italia and got a rotor that in my opinion wasn't as good as the cheap ones. Unless you are rich being first with something that is unproven mean you have to keep costs down. With the V8 Project I found a great deal on an almost zero miles CL500 engine. If this thing ever runs the next person will know that it can be done and just go get an AMG55 engine.
