So I was hoping to (start and) finish installing it this afternoon, but I got off work a little late, and had a few minor issues
finding the 2nd passenger side radiator core support clip (since I didn't think I'd ever need it again, I ended up just ripping it in two, then I saw where the 2nd clip was
), and removing the power steering fluid lines. I'm done with those parts though, so I'll finish it tomorrow. I have a few questions though.
Where is the "Hood Release Cable Cover shield" that I'm supposed to take out? The email that Rob sent said it is "behind the grill" but I don't think I saw it. He sent a pic of it once it was out, but not where it is located ... where behind the grill is it, and why does it need taken out? I'd assume it was in the driver's side since it was only needed out for the dual CAI.
Also, does the y-piece fit easily onto the throttle body? It was dark when I finally got around to playing with it, but it kind of seemed like the y-piece was too tall (from the throttle body to the back of the engine compartment) to easily fit there, but since it was dark I don't know if it was lined up correctly. Do I need to take off the weatherstripping that is at the top back of the engine compartment, then put the y-piece on, then put the weatherstripping back? Or does it normally fit right on?
