Re: Rotrex Guy
Hey that was fun reading today's posts! Unfortunately ther is no way to re-virgin a girl, but you can do this to a MB ECU although this is a little known fact. I received my unlocked ECU today from Beckmann. I better get this right becuase three twists of the key and it will be locked again.
you can't even get an unlocked ECU from Mercedes either. you have to give them your VIN to order one and it comes with your Immo/Vin data already in it. I found a site where MB mechanics where sharing knowledge, so I posted what I was doing inlcuding the use of a unlocked ECU. Well MB must own the site becuase my post was deleted and I got banned.
I was worried I had gotten Beckman in trouble and called them. They said what they do is perfectly legal and saves people a ton of money over buying a new ECU. But seems to some sensitivity over this.
My idea and I have discussed with Rudy is that If an unlocked SRT ECU could be programmed to a n/a crossfire you now have an ECU that can read and deal with boost. Without an unlocked ECU, it would be impossible to get an SRT ECU to work on a n/a unless you tranfer all the modules, dash and ignition lock and keys. the other option is to use piggy back systems. I just think it would be easier to stick the Crossfire SRT ECU into the n/a and program it to the car using the STAR DAS. In DAS you would select by vehicle and NOT by VIN. It would be really easy if you had the Chrysler version of DAS since you cannot select Crossfire in DAS, but you can select SLK32 and communicate with the ECU. I allready did this by selecting SLK320, I was able to connect my Crossfire to DAS.
