I know many of the Crossfire owners have experienced a similar situation, I wonder if the fault is the blower control or the blower regulator. I am surprised at the fact that Mercedes SLK which uses the same units does not experience problems with the climate control like the Crossfire. I would appreciate the information.
I am happy to report that my blower running all the time problem is solved by replacing the blower regulator/resistors. I replaced the blower control which did not solve the problem and the vendor accepted to return the unit for refund. I bought the regulator cheaper than any one reported in the forum for only $106 with free shipping from www.AutohausAZ.com I searched under 04 Mercedes SLK either 230 or 320 rather than Crossfire. Now we know for sure, if the blower runs while everything is at the off position or the key is out of the ignition, the blower regulator/resistors is at fault.
