I believe that the Xfire abbreviation originated on this forum. I remember a thread from very early on where we discussed what we should use. It came down to XF and xfire. Xfire just became the dominate usage. If I weren't so lazy I'd search for that original thread. Don't recall +fire ever being offered as a choice. Looks goofy to me.
