Unfortunately, that will not happen. As indicated in earlier posts, the shipping industry recession is a result of over producing and a world recession. I bet most of those ships will not return to service anyway because there antiquated vessels. With the expansion of the Panama Canal, larger ships are being produced. I’m not sure of the ratio but one of those larger ships could replace three of those smaller crafts.

I assume the rate carriers are charging have been plummeting and they have been reducing shipping lanes. So, eventually a balance will be restored and the shipping industry will be better for it. It’s funny (not really) how with out interference an industry can correct itself .
