The strip is encased in a rubber tube and very flexible. I spot siliconed mine in just in case! I spliced them into my side marker lamp wiring and come on when I turn them on. Another good place to tie them into is your fog lamp wiring if you want them just when you have those on. The wiring is easier to get to also.just go through the little panel in your inside fender well and just use those splice clips they make so you dont have to cut your wires ..Mikenewb
