it's pretty close to the console-not thick much at all. My pic's are attached. This is the rosewood dash kit. I just happen to like the wood look, and it makes me comfortable when I sit in the cockpit. Just warms it up a bit in my opinion. OOPS, somehow the pics aren't there, or here. I cannot figure out how to attach. My pics from my computer just aren't uploading. hmmm
