I've run at the Street Legal Drags several times at Fontana and never had a problem, or saw a problem, with the sort of things you've described. As long as you aren't running a wide open exhaust that is insanely loud you're fine. I've seen plenty of cars with dark tinted windows, smoked tails, etc run there. Plenty of 11 second Hondas, too.

I've never had my Crossfire there, and have no desire to, as road courses are just sooooo much more fun with this car. Well, that and you have to get there by 6:00AM so you can get in line for the 7:00AM tech inspection before it's sold out, then sit around all day in the 110 degree desert heat just to get in 2 or 3 runs (4 on a good day) of a few seconds each on a track with almost ZERO prep. Just not my idea of fun.

I couldn't give a rat's patootie what my car runs in the 1/4 mile - I like leaving faster cars behind on the local canyon roads. Now THAT's a good time!!!
