your not alone!! i had a heck of a time getting the washer and the pulley off. i cleaned the washer with solvent and ran a pick thru the holes to clean them out. after that it went on easily.
as for the washers i needed 5 spacers to get mine spaced. from what brandon told me dont worry so much about spacing numbers as getting the pulley as close as possible without rubbing the clutch. also do not I REPEAT do not overtorque the bolt 20 nm not 20 ft/lbs. its metric torque converted to approx 15 ft/lbs. if you overtorque you will break the bolt
