I think Black, Silver, or grey are the 'safe' colours. Candy colours such as yellow, light blue etc would be seen as 'flamboyant'.

If I was to pick a colour to go with certain celebs or characters, I guess they would be:

Grey = James Bond, corporate looking colour.
Yellow = Paris Hilton, maybe Lakers fans or people whom live in sunny climates.
White = P Diddy (looks kinda Blingy).
Light Blue = Victoria Beckham.
Red = People with a subliminal admiration for Ferrari.
SSB/ Black = The less 'risky' or Risk'e' (with a french accent). Which is why
alot of people choose these clolours.
