The truth and common sense is all well and good, but the real power within the debate will lie with a most ironic source. Some how, sometime soon, Wall Street will get into the act. Just as our Congress and the SEC stood by and watched the invention of mortgage-backed securities, this looming cap and trade scheme will offer all manner for abuse. Fortunes will be made on Wall Street trading carbon credits while the rest of us see our taxes and energy costs rise.

Just as in anything else, 'saving the planet' will fall victim to greed.
