The stinger is the name of the hood, but I think it was orignal to the L88's (I was born in 1987). My Mach 1 has a "stormin' Norman" hood.. Every car with a similar hood isn't a mach 1.. I've seen almost any ford from 5.0 mustangs to pickup trucks with the same hood. It's kind of like how the new grand sport corvette has z06 body panels, but isn't a z06.
