My brother had a John Deere snowmobile that was belt driven, it was called the Spitfire. Used a belt instead of a chain case to drive the track.

Must be somethin' about 'fire's....

Oh yeah... nearly 2000 miles and no problems so far.... might have the start of a hatch rattle.... I've got to turn the music down more often...
