Anyway, this car is not my daily driver, and is the first time I have drove it in over a week. I keep it in the garage. I washed it after the last time I drove it, so I would have noticed these cracks at that time if they were there. I am totally bewildered as to what could have caused this. They look like stress cracks. Has anyone ever had a problem with cracking on the SRT wing?
As a matter of fact yes. Initially, on my daughter's car, she had the identical cracks you are referring to. At first, we thought that it was because someone had put too much pressure or try to sit on the wing. Understanding that her wing is painted Blaze red, the dealer was hesitant to replace the wing under the original warranty. In the meantime, I checked my wing and had the exact same problem. The dealer replaced both wings under warranty, but of course they would not repaint Ashley's wing because it was a different color.
A couple months after her car was completed whereby the wing was replaced and repainted Blaze red, it again showed the exact same stress cracks. The dealer would not replace the wing a second time. So currently her wing is showing the same stress cracks at the base where the pillars and the wing are affixed.
