No, the rev-limiter .....occurs some where up over 6000 rpms. What I'm talking about is the launch control feature....in stock form if I put in the clutch at a stop light & floor the gas pedal.....the engine will rev to 4,200 rpms & stay there!! The car will not allow an unloaded RPM level above that....(while the vehicle is stopped anyway). The magazines that tested the Crossfire when it first came out said this is the technique to achieve the best 0-60 time with the 6 speed. I tested it ....& yes....the rpms may briefly bounce over the 4,200 rpm level but very quickly.....stabilize at 4,200 & stay there till you drop the clutch.....which I haven't actually done yet.
I've never hit the rev-limiter in this car ....but I have in a Beretta GTZ 5 speed stick....just a total shut down till the rpms drop below the limiter setting.
