I thought about the tank in the trunk, but I think that the further away from the intercooler, the warmer your ice-water will be after running though all that hose.

As there are no off the shelf tanks that I found to fit in the SLK, I had no choice but to fab one myself. It came out about the same amount as a Code3 C32 kit though. And I was able to use the stock hoses too. Although, I ended up replacing the upper one with a shorter hose from the auto parts store.

I never thought about wrapping the SC intercooler. Good idea! As I have a ton of the insulation left, I might try that too.
